Red Rock Lodge
Sunbury, Victoria, Australia
How to get here from Melbourne

Red Rock Lodge can be reached from Melbourne as follows:
  1. Leave Melbourne along the Calder Freeway.
  2. Take the South Gisborne turn-off into Mundy Road.
Take the left lane to get off the freeway and turn right to drive over the bridge.
  3. Turn sharp left into Riddell Road.
(Don't take the earlier left turn into Dalrymple Road which is a minor road.)
  4. Take the second turn on the right into Palmer Road.
(If you see an airfield on your left, you've gone down Settlement Road, which is the first turn right. The sign on Settlement Road says Red Rock Outpost. This is not the same as Red Rock Lodge.)
  5. The Red Rock Lodge property is about 400 metres on the right after you enter Palmer Road.
  6. Go across the small bridge.
  7. Turn left through the gate. You will see Red Rock Lodge directly in front of you. Red Rock West is on your left. Red Rock East is on your right.

To follow these directions in the Melways street directory, turn to page 8 of the 2005 edition. (That's page 8, not map 8.) Also useful is Melways map 361 which shows Mundy Road, Dalrymple Road and Riddell Road. You enter map 361 at A3 and exit at E1. Red Rock Lodge is about 2 km South-west of Longview Creek Winery, which is clearly marked on Melways 2005 page 8, also on Palmer Road. (Travel time from the centre of Melbourne is 55 minutes if you make no wrong turns.)
