Red Rock is a rocky outcrop.

The district is called Red Rock, and you will find many other places named after Red Rock. Originally there was one large sheep farm named Red Rock Farm. On this farm our house at 80 Palmer Road was the farm managers house. This house was called Red Rock Lodge.

We have borrowed the term, to use it to name the guest houses.
