Set in rolling countryside on our horse stud, just 50 minutes from the heart of Melbourne,
Red Rock Lodge invites you to come and relax, unwind and enjoy our exclusive
guesthouses East and West.
Accommodating up to 16 guests, our self-contained guesthouses are nestled in a beautiful setting overlooking
Longview Creek and are fully equipped with stylish and comfortable furnishings to let you make the most of
your stay. Children of all ages are very welcome at Red Rock Lodge and a high chair and portacot are available
for babies. Our fully fenced 30 metre outdoor verandah is a great space for small children to play safely and do a range of activities
such as painting and drawing.
With a 12 metre solar heated swimming pool with spa jets, games room with table tennis table and a host
of activities associated with a working farm, our guests can choose to be either very active or just sit
by the pool and read a book.
We think that the best holidays feature good food, fine wine and great company. Your guesthouses are stocked
with generous breakfast provisions (including our famous free range eggs) for you to enjoy any time you wish.
And if you really want to spoil yourself, we can provide a gourmet 3 course dinner package made with fresh
seasonal ingredients delivered to your guesthouse. For those who wish to do their own catering, each guesthouse
has a fully equipped kitchen, with double oven, microwave and food preparation equipment.
A short drive away down Palmer road is Longview Creek Vineyard for
tastings of fine locally grown wines and a tour of the vineyard with winemakers Bill and Karen Ashby.
Don't forget to ask Karen and Bill for recommended wines to best complement your dinner package!
On the farm, children can participate in a range of activities including horse feeding, grooming Mighty Mouse and Buddy,
tree planting and care of our free range chooks. Many children enjoy learning about the natural enviroment and the cycle of life through
discussions about horse breeding and seeing the young foals in action.
There are also lots of activities available in the area for older children and adults
including horse trail rides at Sunbury Riding Centre, learning to fly at
Sunbury Airfield,
playing golf at Goona Warra Golf Club and Sunbury Golf Driving Range & Mini Golf or enjoying a film at the local cinema. The Sunbury Craft market is held at the
Sunbury Leisure Centre on the 1st Sunday of the month and for steam engine enthusiasts the Bulla Hill Railway operates on the 1st and the 3rd Sunday.
Red Rock Lodge is perfect for accommodating guests attending important family celebrations such as weddings
and we are delighted to be a part of making your special occaision truly memorable. We regularly provide accommodation for guests
attending functions at Emu Bottom Homestead, Goona Warra Vineyard and Rupertswood Mansion. Our late checkout of 12 noon allowing
plenty of time for guests to enjoy a relaxing sleep - in followed by late morning brunch!
Team workshops and small conferences are our speciality and we offer great rates for not for profit
organisations and small businesses. A fully catered package can be provided to ensure your team can focus on
the work at hand.
